Travel stories, practical guides, and unforgettable moments from across India and now Peru

Hello Traveller or future Traveller!

Ive wanted to start this blog ever since my first trip to India in November of 2024. It was my first time planning such a big trip, I organised a 21 day tour across Rajasthan, we did the golden triangle, went to the Taj Mahal saw tigers on safari and even finished off at a luxury beachside Yoga retreat in South Goa.

India is not an easy country for a first Traveller,  its loud busy and at times overwhelming. However its also incredibly beautiful, the people so friendly,  the food, some of the best I have ever eaten and just an amazing place to visit and sightsee. There is so much culture and history in India,  its such an old country. Its such a big place you could spend the next 10 years travelling and never see it all.

Im creating this blog so if you just want to visit the main tourist sites thats okay but I might be able to give you a few extra ways to view them, or if you’re looking for different things to do, stuff not so much on the western tourists beaten path, like camping under the stairs in the desert having ridden there on Camel back.

I am hoping to organise my own travel itineraries into a usable guide if you want to book your own tour, without using a large tour agency. I paid less for my first 21 day self planned tour than you would for a 10 day tour organised by a large tour company. We had more time to travel slower and take more in. We weren’t trapped on a tour bus with loads of our guests being dragged from tour to hotel all day with strangers that you may or may not get on with. If thats your idea of a good time then thats fine, but its not for me or my mother who i travel with.

We managed to avoid the large tour groups,  usually getting to places first so we could enjoy the sites without the large crowds arrived
